Further progress at Rathmorrissy Junction

The photo above shows further progress at Rathmorrissy Junction, a three-tier junction which will connect the new M17 and M18 motorways with the M6. Constraints being diligently managed by Sisk’s construction team include; existing HV pylons within the junction footprint, an existing gas main under the junction, live traffic on the M6, the potential presence of karst features, the absence of any surface water outfalls and the presence of a high water table. CCC provided design coordination and optimisation services for Sisk on the central section of the N17N18 Gort to Tuam Scheme.
